Meet this month's tech. spotlight, our extremely talented Orthotic Technician Glen.
In 2012 Glen moved down from Kansas City to join the team in our Orthotic department, specializing in Shoe Modifications and leather work. Since then he has become an intrical part of the fabric of the company family. Glen received his ABC Certification in Prosthetics as well as Orthotics in 2015. I got to find out a little bit more about our favorite “shoe guy” and what makes him tick. Here’s what I found out.
What’ your favorite part of your job?
I enjoy receiving emails or compliments passed on to me by practitioners from their patients, stating how the work I have done has changed their lives.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Getting all the pertinent information needed to complete the device in the best way possible… “I know you are very busy, but…. ‘c’mon, help me, help you, help the patient.”
What do you like to do when you are not working?
I enjoy decompressing by taking long rides on my Harley, out in the country. I also enjoy creating paintings, drawings or custom leather work.
What is your favorite type of pizza?
FREE! We celebrate birthdays with pizza delivered to the fab. and paid for by the bosses. It’s a great morale booster and bonding time for all of us.
What would the title of your autobiography?
“My Brain Hurts/ Tales of an Overanylizer”

Pride in my work/ loyalty/ patience
What are your goals for the next 10 years?
To help build Grace Prosthetics into a larger entity, so I can teach and supervise.
If you woke up tomorrow and couldn’t do what you do now, what would you do instead?
Teach all I have learned to a new generation of technicians, so they can enjoy the rewards that I have been blessed with.
